Teach Your Kids To Love Reading!

The whole reason this site exists is to teach kids to learn to love reading. When I was a little boy, my Mom taught me to read by making it fun. As a result, I love reading! Because I can read, I am always learning, growing and trying new things. Reading opens up the whole world before you.

Though I don't have any kids of own, I have seen the difference reading can make on little minds. One simple act of reading a story to a group of kids has stuck with me for years. I was fortunate enough to get to read a story to a group kids who lived in Skid Row in Los Angeles. When we arrived they were skittish, not trusting of strangers. But when it came time to read, they all gradually wandered in and sat down, listening carefully. By the end of the story they were all there and I realized that these children had most likely never been read to. Not only that, no one is regularly giving them that much undivided attention for any reason. That's stuck with me.

I realize I can't help them all, but I can surely try. That's why you can download these videos for free. In fact I hope you do. Because as I make them, I am going to be burning DVDs and taking them to daycares, after school programs, orphanages, and anywhere I can think of where kids will be able to watch them. I hope you will too.
